Måste Justin göra slut med Selena?
Justin Bieber is flying pretty high right now. At only 17 years old, he's one of the richest, most in-demand celebs in the world. Plus, he’s madly in love with his first big time girlfriend, Selena Gomez. However, one of his mentor’s Will.i.am from the Black Eyed Peas thinks Justin needs to go through some bumps in the road before he’ll establish himself as a legend in the music world.
“Justin as an artist has to fight. Michael Jackson fought, Prince fought, the ones that stood around for a long time are the ones that are always fighting for something,” Will.i.am told Ryan Seacrest on 102.7 KIIS FM Aug. 11. “We know the ones that get comfortable and then their career is short, ‘Oh I remember that one song he had, that was cool.’”
Ultimately, the longtime musician doesn’t want to just produce music for Justin to sing — he wants his student to become self-sufficient.
“I want to get Justin Bieber into writing his own music and producing his own songs,” he explained. However, in order to do that, Will.i.am says Justin needs to mature emotionally…and he thinks that’s going to happen through his girlfriend.
“He’s gonna hurt. He’s going to go through relationship drama [and that will make him successful],” he said.
Justin is in the middle of working on his third studio album, and we cannot wait to hear his new sound. We also love seeing him so happy with Selena — it would break our hearts to see them split! That said, Will.i.am is one of today’s biggest and most successful radio artists and probably knows what he’s talking about.
